It's been all over the news, and social media. Every other post or reports seem to be about this Monday's Solar Eclipse. The first in 99 years that it will be viewable from across the United States. It's exciting to be able to witness rare events like this. We prepared early and ordered our eclipse glasses. We don't plan on traveling to a town that is in the path of totality though. We do know several people that either is traveling or live in the path. Truly lucky for them! For us, we will see 71% of the sun obscured. Enough to notice some change of the sun, at 1:30-2:30 pm will be i a perfect position from our house. We've been reading up with Erin on the solar eclipse and what it means. She's really excited to see it!
As I sent out a new batch of stuffed animals to MADE in Jackson, WY this week I realized, they are in the path of totality! And what does that mean- Jackson, WY will be bombarded with a large amount of eclipse viewers this weekend through Monday. I started thinking, what other retailers that we partner with are in the path of totality? And isn't this a perfect opportunity to shop small local business, especially those that promote handmade products!
So, we've compiled a list of a few stores (we will add throughout the weekend), that sell handmade products and located in the path of totality. If you happen to be in one of these locations these next few days, make some time to check it out. After all, the eclipse only lasts for a few minutes. Might as well make the rest of your visit count too, right?
